What time zone do I need to work in?

North American time zones (EST to PST). Most Latin American countries align naturally with this window, no overnight shifts.

What is your placement fee?

Accepted Answer

Our standard one-time placement fee is 15% of the professional’s agreed first-year base salary or fixed contractor compensation. For example, US$4,800 per month equals US$57,600 per year and a US$8,640 placement fee. Variable commissions, discretionary bonuses, equity and expense reimbursements are excluded. Any different basis for a short-term or project engagement must be agreed in writing before the search begins.

How long does the process take?

Typically 1 to 6 months from application to placement, depending on the availability of matching client opportunities.

When do we pay? Is there a monthly agency markup?

Accepted Answer

The placement fee is due on the professional’s first working day, unless your signed agreement specifies otherwise. Our standard placement service has no recurring agency fee or monthly salary markup. The professional’s compensation is paid separately by the client or its appointed payroll provider. Applicable taxes and any separately agreed services are additional and disclosed before purchase.

Are the salaries on your website fixed prices?

They are indicative gross compensation targets in US dollars, not guaranteed offers or take-home pay. Final compensation depends on the role, experience, hours and engagement arrangement. For Account Executives, the displayed figure is base compensation; commissions are agreed separately. When budgeting, include the placement fee and any applicable taxes, benefits, payroll-provider costs, equipment and other engagement expenses.

Is this a full-time position?

Most placements are full-time (40 hours/week), though some clients also seek part-time or project-based engagements. We'll align on this during the matching phase.

Question 11

How does the hiring process work?

We discuss your needs, agree the search scope and terms, assess potential candidates, and introduce suitable professionals for your interviews. You make the final hiring decision and agree the engagement directly with the professional or your appointed provider. We coordinate the next steps described in your agreement.

Will I work with one company or multiple clients?

Accepted Answer

Most placements are exclusive. You join one company's team as a dedicated Chief of Staff. This isn't a freelance marketplace.

How long will it take?

Accepted Answer

We agree an estimated schedule after understanding your requirements. Timing depends on candidate availability, the specialization of the role, interview scheduling and notice periods. We keep you informed as the search progresses; a specific hiring date is not guaranteed.

How do you assess candidates?

We assess experience, role-specific skills, communication and remote-working readiness against your agreed requirements. Any references, credentials, work samples or additional background checks to be reviewed are defined for the search and conducted with appropriate notice or consent. An introduction is not a guarantee of future performance.

Will the professional work our hours and only with us?

Accepted Answer

Working hours, time-zone overlap and any exclusivity are agreed for each role. Full-time, part-time and project engagements can have different arrangements. We confirm expectations with both parties before the start date rather than assuming all Latin American locations follow the same schedule.

Question 16

Who handles contracts, payroll, taxes and benefits?

Accepted Answer

The client is responsible for establishing a lawful engagement, including worker classification, contracts, pay, taxes, benefits and required local arrangements. You may use your own advisers or a payroll or employer-of-record provider. LSP’s placement service does not itself make us the employer or include payroll, tax or legal services.

Question 17

What if we cancel or the candidate never starts?

Under our standard placement terms, no placement fee is earned before the professional starts. You may cancel the search in writing before that date without a placement fee. If a placement fee was paid early and the professional does not start, you may choose a refund or credit toward a continuing search. Separately approved services or third-party costs follow their written cancellation terms. A later hire of an introduced candidate remains subject to any introduction period expressly agreed in your signed agreement.

What if the hire does not work out?

We offer one replacement search at no additional placement fee if the professional resigns or the client ends the engagement for documented performance or suitability reasons within 180 calendar days of the original start date. Eligibility requires timely payment, notice within 10 business days of the departure, and a materially unchanged role. Layoffs, elimination of the role, material changes to pay or working conditions, and client non-payment or unlawful conduct are excluded. Question 19

Does the replacement policy provide a cash refund?

For a qualifying departure after work has begun, the standard remedy is one replacement search, not a cash refund. We do not guarantee a replacement by a particular date. If we cannot provide a suitable introduction after 90 calendar days of an active replacement search, you may keep the search open or receive a credit equal to the original placement fee, valid for 12 months toward another placement. Mandatory legal refund rights and corrections of duplicate or erroneous charges remain unaffected.

Question 20

Do candidates pay LSP to apply or be placed?

No. Our placement fee is charged to the hiring client. Candidates do not pay an application or placement fee to LSP, and we do not deduct our placement fee from the professional’s compensation.
